Pool & Spa Filter Cartridges — BPA-Free Replacements for Intex, Bestway & Summer Waves

Agrif pool and spa filter cartridges are premium above-ground pool filter replacements built for homeowners and pool service professionals who demand clean water and honest materials. Every Agrif cartridge is manufactured with Lead-Free and BPA-Free certified end caps — a health-first standard that most generic pool filter brands on the market do not explicitly certify or disclose.

Our pool filter range covers the three most widely used above-ground pool filter standards: Type I for Bestway Flowclear 330 GPH and Summer Waves SFX/RX-330 pumps, Type S1 for all Intex PureSpa inflatable hot tub models, and Type D/VII for Bestway Type VII, Intex Type D, Summer Waves RX600/SFS-600, Summer Escapes, and Aqua Leisure filter canisters.

Why Agrif Pool Filters Perform Better

Each cartridge uses a two-layer media construction that outperforms standard single-layer pool filters. The inner core uses heavy-duty Dacron paper — a rigid polyester substrate that maintains its pleat geometry under sustained pump pressure, preventing the media collapse that creates bypass channels in cheaper cartridges. The outer filtration layer uses trilobal structure fabric, a three-lobed fiber design with greater surface area per strand for more efficient particle capture and easier weekly rinsing than standard bilobal or round-fiber non-woven alternatives.

Agrif's proprietary "Dirt-Locking" depth filtration technology traps hair, leaves, dust, fine sediment, sand, body oils, and micro-debris throughout the full media thickness — not just on the surface. This depth-loading approach maintains higher pump flow rates for longer into the service cycle, keeping pool water cleaner with less frequent cleaning interruptions. Filtration efficiency is rated at approximately 20 microns — the standard for above-ground pool and spa cartridge applications.

The BPA Difference — Especially for Hot Tubs

For pool owners, the end cap material distinction is worth knowing. For hot tub owners, it is worth prioritizing. Spa water maintained at 100–104°F accelerates the leaching of chemical compounds from plastic components at a substantially higher rate than cold pool water. The genuine Intex OEM 29001E filter carries a California Proposition 65 BPA reproductive harm warning on the Intex official product page. Agrif Type S1 spa filters do not — their end caps are certified Lead-Free and BPA-Free at the manufacturing level.

Service Schedule for Maximum Pool Water Quality

For peak filtration performance, rinse cartridges weekly with a garden hose — trilobal grooves release accumulated debris easily under normal water pressure. Replace every 2 weeks during heavy swimming or hot tub use, and every 3 weeks during lighter use periods. Not sure which filter type your pump uses? Measure your existing cartridge (height and outer diameter) or locate the model number on your pump canister and use the compatibility guide on each product page.

All Agrif pool and spa filters ship free on every order with a 30-day return policy. If you're unsure which cartridge is correct for your pump, contact us with your pump model number — we'll confirm compatibility before you order.
